Did You know About the Red Camera Accessories?

The Red camera did a big change with their cinema camera lineup. They have completely stopped their previous camera options and selected simpler options for body and sensors. Red Camera now allows a unique option for their camera body & brain. Most filmmakers know about RED digital cinema cameras, but there are so many changes to their lineup over the years that it may difficult to understand. This article explains the Red Camera Accessories lineup in layman's terms and then presents a look back at RED cameras all so that you can find the best Red cinema camera for your filmmaking requirements.

Red DSMC2- Camera Body and Brain

This is the RED camera body and Camera brain, which contain the image sensor and the superior computing components. RED has some specific versions of this body/brain, with Michael Bay’s "Bayhem" Helium 8K. Also have the monochrome version, which provides you to take black & white footage with improved resolution and light sensation due to the imperfection of color data.

One thing about RED that their DSMC2 Brain does not have a DC IN power port, which means you’ll be required to buy a power module or port expander to power the camera.

Red Monstro 8K-Full Frame

The RED Monstro 8K Vista Vision presents a resolution that is 17x high clarity and 4x the resolution of 4K video. It can go as long as 60fps at 8K, but to shoot at higher support rates you’ll have to reduce some of that 8K, but you still have 120fps at 4K and 240fps in 1080.

The RED Monstro 8K VV is the most comprehensive sensor RED has to allow and is superficially full-frame, which isn’t acceptable for a cinema camera. The 8K analysis will allow you to move in, crop, and focus on areas of your footage without lack of quality. It's cool but also produces large file sizes.

Red Helium 8k-Super 35

This camera can go as high as 60fps at the greatest presentation, but this sensor size is more like the traditional super 35. The Helium sensor is much the same as the Monstro VV, but smaller in natural size and has loses half a stop of effective range. For that extended size and half stop of active range, you recognize from the Monstro, you’ll pay more than double what the Helium costs.

Red Gemini 5K-Super 35

This camera has a few obvious variations from the Monstro and the Helium, most significantly the drop-down to 5K resolution. This has two-shot modes, one is a standard design with a native ISO of 800, and the other is the low-light mode with a regional ISO of 3200. Low-light is good for performances or documentary filmmaking and creates less noise than the original RED Dragon sensor. The usual model is still ideal for digital cinema and fictional filmmaking.

The RED Gemini provides you the same 4K analysis at 120fps as of the RED Helium and Monstro, which means you can catch a slow-motion video with the same feature without paying for the extra 3K resolution.

Red Dragon-X 5K-Super 35

The RED Dragon-X 5K is the smallest of all the sensors in the lineup and it still offers 5K video like the Gemini sensor, it loses some of the upward picture areas due to the less physical sensor size. The other big difference is basically that RED added their image processing pipeline 2 (IPP2) modes to the old Dragon sensor, which indicates you’ll have greater influence over your footage in post. This camera still allows you to film an accurate 4K at 120fps, and yet goes as high as 240 fps in full HD, which is still the feature at which most streamable content is afforded due to the huge file size of 4K.

Conclusion

Now you know a little more about the Red digital cinema Camera Cage, and you’re able to hire the right camera for your plan. Hope this article will helpful for your knowledge about Red Camera, if you want more information about it then you can contact us through the comment box.
